Who says you have to travel anywhere to have a great spring break?

When you think of spring break, what's the first thing that comes to mind? For me, it's warmer weather. Luckily, for us in Louisiana, we have temperatures in the 70s at this time of year and most days are sunny. So why leave for spring break?

Recently, Tripping (a vacation rental site) put out a list of the best spring break destinations in Louisiana. They echoed the idea of warm temperatures, but also highlighted several spring break activities to take part in during spring break. Both Shreveport and Bossier made the list.

While Baton Rouge took the top spot, Bossier City came in at number two, while Shreveport found itself at number three. Tripping highlighted things like the 8th Air Force Museum, the Red River National Wildlife Refuge, Holiday in Dixie, the Red River Cruise, Shreveport Municipal Auditorium and more. Not to mention, the delicious food, like Bodacious BBQ, Ernest's Orleans Restaurant, and the Chocolate Crocodile.

Other destinations that landed on the list were Alexandria (4), Lake Charles (5), New Orleans (6) , Mandeville (7), and New Iberia (8).
