After several weeks of a bitter fight, the Shreveport City Council has voted in favor of Henry Whitehorn as the city's next Chief Administrative Office.

Mayor Adrian Perkins recommended Whitehorn for the post early in the year, but the nomination hit a roadblock in February when the council deadlocked 3-3 on the appointment. James Green was not attending that meeting.

The final vote this time was 4-3 with Councilmembers Jerry Bowman, Willie Bradford, LeVette Fuller and James Green supporting Whitehorn for the post.

Whitehorn most recently served as United States Marshall for this region. He was also Commander with State Police and Chief of Police in Shreveport.

During the February meeting, 3 council members walked out when the Mayor made some accusations against Councilman John Nickelson. They ultimately returned and finished the meeting.
