There will be no Shreveport City Council meeting next week.

Council Clerk Art Thompson sent KEEL News this statement:

Because of the threat of the Coronavirus, and the possibility of contributing to the number of infections by meeting and/ or setting the wrong example, the Chairman has cancelled the March 24th, Shreveport City Council Meeting.

Council members had been working on a plan to hold the Monday work session and the Tuesday meeting together while limiting attendance by members of the public. But the situation has changed over the past few days and this decision was made to protect the public during this health crisis.
