Shreveport Drive-In Laser Light Show Cancelled Due to Location Complaints
A drive-in style travelling laser-light show in Shreveport has been cancelled. The cancellation stems from overwhelming social media comments of people complaining about the crime in the area they chose to have it.
The event by "Cabin Fever Laser Show" was slated to go-on June 17th through June 21st at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds. The idea being that there is plenty of room to have hundreds of people park their cars there and enjoy a show in their vehicles without COVID concerns.
As soon as the event was posted to social media the event's page was bombarded with comments leaning toward the negative about the specific location of the event. The comments and messages apparently piled up so fast, that the event organizers had to take some kind of action.
The traveling laser-light show ended up having to scrap the entire event, and will possibly be rescheduling with a new location at a later date. The event organizers made this announcement before cancelling The Drive-In Laser Light Show:
"Unfortunately due to overwhelming negative public feedback on this location, this event has been canceled. All tickets purchased have been refunded. We are still hoping to find a suitable alternative location in the future. Thanks"
