The turnout in Shreveport topped the 12% mark which is a bit higher than most had predicted. Early voting indicated turnout could be lower than 10%.

Shreveport leaders will now have to get busy working on a plan to replace the police station. Money in proposition 1 includes $27 million for a new station, but it also includes funds for police substations and millions for equipment and other needs of both the police and fire departments.
