The beer of choice for America's favorite propane and propane accessory salesman from King of The Hill will soon be real and right here in Shreveport. Hank Hill is seen in the intro of every episode enjoying a can of ALAMO brand beer, and now a brewery is bringing the brand to life to celebrate the Hulu reboot of KOTH. Best part is that it won't be long before you can find it on shelves in Shreveport.

Crisp Beer and Beer Accessories?

ALAMO might be a fictional brand made up for King of The Hill, but a real brewer from Texas with the name Alamo Beer Company has just scored the rights to make the iconic beverage a reality. Founder and President of Alamo Beer Company says the beer will be "a no-nonsense beer—as steady as a Texas handshake—made for sharing anywhere, from tailgates to alleys."

When and Where to Find ALAMO Beer in Shreveport

Originally, the plan was to release the drink in Texas early in 2025, then stock the drink across America by mid-year. A delay pushed the launch to July 26th, 2025, and a statewide release in Texas by the end of the month. With the change in release, however, the plans for a national release seem to be left hanging.

The first press release that announced the collaboration and stated there were plans to release the beer nationally, but the most recent press release states that on July 28th, ALAMO Beer will be available at H-E-B stores in Texas and "select retailers," which puts doubt in the hopes of propane salesmen across Shreveport.

Whether the national release of ALAMO Beer has been canceled is unclear. Though there are current plans to distribute the beer to bars and taprooms nationwide but nothing's come of it yet. For now, there's no promise on when or where you'll be able to find the iconic beer Hank, Bill, Dale, and Boomhaumer have enjoyed on our TVs.
