You Do Not Want to Miss Tonight’s ‘Murder Chose Me’
My grandmother and I have always bonded over our love for true crime. She never really got into the paranormal stories like I did. When I would visit for several weeks during the summer, we would enjoy watching television shows like 'Unsolved Mysteries' and 'Snapped' together. Although I do not visit her like I used to, we still bond over true crime shows over the phone.
That is why, when I heard that a local story was going to be highlighted in an upcoming episode on her favorite true crime channel, I couldn't wait to talk to her about it.
Tonight's episode of 'Murder Chose Me' that airs on Investigation Discovery will showcase a murder that took place in Shreveport back in 2012.
The story will walk through the murder of McDaniel Smith III. He was shot and killed next to a vehicle that was still running. Smith was found on March 5, 2012. The episode will focus on Rod Demery's relation to the case, whom the whole series is based on. Demery is a former homicide detective from the Shreveport Police Department. The series began January 2017 and follows his journey with handeling over 250 cases.
The episode will air at 9 pm on the Investigation Discovery channel.
