Two days before Christmas in 2016, 35-year-old DeMarco Hill was killed in southcentral Shreveport. Now Shreveport Police are revisiting his case.

Hill was shot twice in the head while sitting in his car in the parking lot of the NLB Grocery market at West 70th and Union Street in Shreveport. Police found his body when they responded to a call for gunfire around 11pm on December 23rd, 2016. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene, he was the city's 44th homicide of 2016.

At the time, Shreveport Police worked to gather surveillance video and other evidence at the scene, but faced difficulty with information from witnesses. Shreveport Police Cpl. Marcus Hines told KSLA at that time:

"We do believe - actually we know - there were people outside. We're hoping they can give us some additional insight on what took place"

No arrests were made in the case.

But now, almost 6 years later, Shreveport Police are once again asking for help with this case. A release from the Shreveport Police Department on Friday says they believe someone "may have information about this unsolved murder". They are calling for anyone with any information to come forward.

The Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers are also offering a minimum reward of $2,000 for any information that leads to the identification and arrest of those responsible for this murder. Crime Stoppers keeps all tips anonymous, and pays cash rewards. You can contact them by calling 318-673-7373. Crime Stoppers only wants the information on the crime, they don't even need your name.
