Shreveport Police Searching for Mansfield Road Murder Suspect
On February 16, 2022, just after 12:30 p.m., Shreveport Police responded to a residence in the 5200 block of Mansfield Road in reference to a shooting. Arriving officers located a man with at least one gunshot injury to the head. The Shreveport Fire Department transported the man to a local hospital where he later died.
Detectives with the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units responded and launched their investigations. CSIU collected evidence, including video and detectives canvassed the neighborhood and interviewed witnesses. They worked into the night and used multiple investigative factors to identify Archille Holmes Jr. (2-6-1995) as the individual they believe responsible for the homicide. Detectives believe that a dispute between the victim and a group of people precipitated the murder. Detectives procured a warrant charging Holmes with one count of Second-Degree Murder. No bond was set.
