Shreveport Prepares for First Ever Pink Friday

Pink Weekend Is Here, Many Of Us Have Never Heard of a Pink Weekend.

Pink Weekend will take over downtown Shreveport. It's the first ever of its kind and it's all about supporting local businesses.

Shreveport Residents are Being Encouraged to Shop Local and Be Loud About It.

Shreveport DDA is cheering on locals to shop small and shop local this holiday season. They took to their Facebook page to say "We're really excited about our small and local shops hosting our very first Pink Weekend in downtown Shreveport. Get some holiday shopping done early, beat the crowds and win stuff, too!"

According to Shrevport DDA "Our goal is to encourage you to #ShopSmall first and have some fun doing it. Several of our retailers and restaurants will be putting on the pink with doorbuster specials and prizes, giveaways and specials, all geared to offering not only a fun shopping experience but capturing some dollars before Amazon and the big boxes do on Black Friday, Cyber Monday and beyond."
