If anyone knows a thing or two about food, it's us.

Are you a food lover, like me? Do you love finding new places to eat around town? Or maybe you love exploring new food offerings, flavor combinations and food experiences. And if you love watching Food Network then I think we just became best friends.

We're considered "foodies."

Now, I know what you're thinking... a foodie is someone who enjoys fine dining and gourmet food, but that's not the case. A love of food is the only prerequisite to be in this club. And in our club, we not only love to eat, we also savor the experience of eating.

That being said, it's strange that we are not higher on this list of "Best Foodie Cities."

WalletHub compiled a list of the best cities for foodies. They looked at cost of groceries, affordability, accessibility, and food festivals. From this they made a list of the best places for us food lovers.

Shreveport landed at number 172 on the list out of 182 cities. I'm sorry, but don't we have our own defined cuisine in Louisiana. Cajun cooking isn't found on just any street corner in America. You want a food adventure? You come to Louisiana. Heck, the highest ranking city in our state was New Orleans at number 44. That should tell you how much we got the short end of the stick.

I guess people are too scared of fried alligator.
