Shreveport Rolling Shootout Leaves Juvenile Dead
Shreveport Police are currently investigating a shooting call that has left 1 person dead and 2 others injured.
This call came into dispatch at 9:58 p.m. from the corner of West 70th Street and Jewella Avenue, which is located in the Sunset Acres neighborhood. When first responders arrived on the scene, they located 2 victims suffering from gunshot wounds to their body. 1 victim had been transported to Ochsner Health Hospital by Emergency Medical Services.
A second victim was treated by EMS on the scene, after getting grazed by a bullet. A third male victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The transported victim injuries are considered as serious and life-threatening injuries, which the victim that got grazed injuries are considered as non life-threatening injuries.
Police say they heard over 50 shots fired, seconds before receiving a call in reference to a shooting. This is an ongoing investigation and no other details are available at this time. We will update when more information becomes available.
