Shreveport Welcomes Jon Crist: Comedy Show

The Strand Theatre in Shreveport is rich in history. Did you know this theater has been operating since 1925? The theatre opened, and the builders nicknamed it "The greatest theatre of the South" and the "Million Dollar Theatre". The grand theatre was almost demolished in 1977; luckily, Shreveport rallied together and formed a coalition to restore the theater. Although the project took 7 years, the building was restored to its initial magnificence and is now known as "The Official State Theatre of Louisiana".

The Strand Theatre Has Attracted Huge Names in the Entertainment Business

One of the most fun nights that I have had in Shreveport was watching Tom Segura. The Strand Theatre was jam-packed. A sold-out show in any venue in Shreveport is a win. We had Theo Von sell out two shows back to back at The Strand.
