One of My Favorite Events in Shreveport Involves Tacos.

Taco Wars is the Ark-La-Tex’s biggest taco festival, and it has become a huge attraction for Taco Lovers all over East Texas and Louisiana. Taco Wars celebrates Latin culture through food, meaning local taquerias treat vendors, and live music are all there for the big party. Every year we watch some of our favorites compete for Best Taco and Best Salsa and you get to place your vote. Last year 14 different eateries showed up to claim the title for the coveted Golden Taco and Golden Molcajete battle.

Taco Wars Has Announced That They Will Return to Downtown Shreveport for the 2025 Festival.

Saturday, April 26th from 11:00 am to 8:00 p.m. the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium will be where we all gather for tacos, sweet treats, cold beer, margaritas, live music, and community in Shreveport. Who doesn't love an epic celebration of Latino culture?

Did you know that 90% of all taco and treat sales go directly to the taco vendors? The remainder of the funds help fund the festival itself. Entry is free however the tacos, treats, and drinks are priced by the vendors and purchased with Taco Tickets.

What Are Taco Tickets?

It is how we purchase tacos of course. 1 Ticket costs $1 and is purchased at the festival at several ticket kiosks. You may purchase as many as you like at a time and you can return to a kiosk at any time to purchase more, but Taco Ticket sales are final. Just a heads up, most tacos range from 3-6 tickets so plan accordingly.

The taqueria list, food and drink menus, music lineup, and more will be announced in early 2025.
