Shreveport and Bossier City Among the Cities With The Worst Money Management Skills

A new study from the personal finance website WalletHub has revealed that Shreveport and Bossier City are some of the places with the worst money management skills. Of 2,517 cities Shreveport was the 125th worst for money management skills, and Bossier City was the 122nd worst. Outside of the SBC, the city with the best money management skills was West Monroe only the 362nd worst city, while just across the Ouachita River in Monroe the people there have averaged out as the 79th worst.

But the city in North Louisiana with the worst money skills should be no surprise to anyone who has lived there for a short time, especially if they went to college in this town. Ruston was the worst city in the entire study when it came to money management skills. A city full of 18 to 24-year-olds in college with part-time jobs, being the city with the very worst money management skills makes perfect sense.
