Shreveport’s CORK Wine Fest: Date Change Alert

Did you know that Shreveport has a festival that was created just for wine lovers? It's the original wine festival of the Ark-La-Tex, CORK Number 19, which returns to Shreveport's Festival Plaza this spring. The crew at CORK has made an announcement that could mess up your weekend plans.

CORK a Red River Wine Event took to their Facebook page to announce a date change due to anticipated inclement weather. The Facebook post said that Cork #19 has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 6th. If you can still ttend on Sunday and you have your original ticket rest easy knowing that your tickets will still be valid. CORK claims that they will have a limited amount of tickets on sale.

What Happens if Shreveport Wine Lovers Want a Refund on Their CORK Ticket?

Hopefully you purchased protection through the ticketing vendor Webconnex. That is the only way you can get a refund on your CORK ticket, keep in mind that the Red River Revel does not manage this service.

Why Do So Many People Come to Shreveport for CORK?

The goodness about CORK is that you can enjoy unlimited tastings of wine from multiple wineries and select tastings of local food vendors. Shreveport residents claim it is the social event of the Spring. Your ticket to CORK will set you back about $100, but remember, it's unlimited wine tastings, and that seems like money well spent to me.
