Shreveport’s Fat Calf Pushes Back Reopening Date with Big Promises

One of Shreveport's most famous restaurants broke several hearts when it was announced that they were closing to make some renovations. Fat Calf in the Highland neighborhood temporarily closed on Sunday, February 16th, and some of us just don't know what to do without our favorite dinners.

According to Fat Calf's Facebook page, there is some kind of epic upgrade coming to the kitchen. How can this place get any better?

Oh, you didn't know that that cute little restaurant in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood made the list of USA Today's Best Restaurants List for 2024? The little eatery was already booming before the list was released, and since then it has continued to be a favorite little gem in Shreveport.

Fat Calf Just Pushed Back Their Reopening Date

The crew claims that renovations in their kitchen took longer than they anticipated, so their reopening date has been pushed to Tuesday, March 4th. The exciting news in all of this is that Fat Calf will reopen with exciting new dishes, new cocktails, and some new wines on their list. The temporary closure didn't stop the annual Highland Parade Party that Fat Calf throws. It looks like full steam ahead for one of Highlands' favorite restaurants.
