September is a big month for Shreveport native Matthew Davidson. As you can probably remember, we got to know Matthew several years ago as a young teen from Caddo Middle Magnet who was selected to participate in Kidd Kraddick's Rock Camp.

During his week in Dallas, Matthew got to work greats like Patrick Stump from Fallout Boy, participate in a bunch of challenges and most importantly, play to wide audience!

Matthew represented the SBC well while in Dallas and he and his family are now a part of the K945 family! That's why we are so glad to hear that not only is Matthew being featured in this month's Guitar Center Magazine, he has a new single 'Heartbreaker' that hits iTunes Tuesday, September 10! So, mark the date and buy a copy on every device you have! Let's support our home grown talent of the SBC and big congrats to Matthew and his entire family and band, you guys make us proud!

Here is the official press release regarding Matthew's achievements:

Shreveport, LA – Aug. 28, 2013 Fifteen-year-old guitarist/vocalist Matthew Davidson will release his new single “Heartbreaker” on iTunes on Sept. 10th.

“Heartbreaker” was written by Matthew Davidson and Greg Walton and recorded at The Pond Studios. The
song was produced by Jimmy Wooten and engineered by Cody Lowery, co-founders of The Pond.
Matthew is featured in the Sept. 2013 issue of “At: Guitar Center” magazine. This monthly buyers’ guide publication is mailed to thousands of people and is available at all Guitar Center locations as well as online.
Earlier this year, Matthew was invited to join “The Brotherhood of the Guitar”. This is a project launched by legendary photographer Robert Knight and sponsored by Fender Guitar, Guitar Center, and Ernie Ball. The group’s purpose is to shine a spotlight on a select group of unsigned up-and-coming young guitarists from around the world.
Matthew’s four-piece band, The Matthew Davidson Band, formed in 2010 and they have been in demand ever since. Their upcoming fall schedule includes performances at Digifest South in Shreveport, MusicFest in El Dorado, AR, The Greater Baton Rouge
State Fair and The Louisiana Seafood Festival in New Orleans, LA.
