According to the U.S. Census Bureau, nearly 46% of all Americans are single, and it would be fair to assume at least a few of those people are looking to change that. If you need proof that people are looking for a partner look no further than the online dating industry, valued at over $5.3 billion in revenue last year.

Well, a new study has shed some light on how difficult the dating game can be in Shreveport. WalletHub analyzed data from 182 of America's largest cities, revealing how easy or difficult it can be to date in each city. Cities were studied based on economic and social data to determine things like accessible date options, job opportunities, and Google search traffic for terms like tinder.

Shreveport 20th Worst

Out of the three cities in Louisiana that made the list, Shreveport was the worst city in Louisiana for singles to find a date. At that, Shreveport was the 20th worst city for singles looking to date.

The study ranked each city in the study by three subcategory ranks, Economics, Fun & Recreation, and Dating Opportunities. Shreveport was ranked 155th of 182 in the Dating Opportunities category, 149th in Fun & Recreation, and a rank of 101st in Economics.

The dating opportunities category was scored on online searches and the share of singles in the local population.
