‘SNL”s ‘Weekend Update’ Desk Gets A New Addition

Starting this fall, you'll be seeing a new face next to Colin Jost behind the "Weekend Update" desk on "Saturday Night Live".

He's Michael Che, who joined the show as a writer last fall, and who's also been a cast member on "Best Week Ever" and a correspondent on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart".

Che replaces co-anchor Cecily Strong, who'll remain with the show as a sketch performer. (Hopefully, she'll be bringing back her popular character, "The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation With at a Party".)

SNL returns with new episodes Sept. 27 with host Chris Pratt ("Parks and Recreation", "Guardians of the Galaxy") and musical guest Ariana Grande.
