Beaches and parks in Duval County, Florida will reopen tonight (April 17th) after being closed for over a month due to coronavirus concerns. Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry is saying the beaches will be open on a limited basis, 'with restrictions for essential activities only,' from 6:00 am - 11:00 am, and 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm daily. You can see his official statement below.

St John's County beaches, which include the city of St Augustine, will also partially reopen today as well, but group activities will not be allowed at this time. Only time will tell whether social distancing measures will be enforceable once everyone's toes hit the sand this spring in the Sunshine State.
