There isn't a Chick-fil-A location in the Ark-La-Tex that isn't packed. It's no secret that the chicken chain will always get your order right and they will do it with a smile on their face. "My pleasure" just hits differently than "no problem".

One of the first-world problems we all face on Sundays is craving Chick-fil-A. Imagine not being able to get your chicken fix for an entire weekend? Well get ready Shreveport-Bossier, the chicken sandwich giant announced they'd close for an entire weekend and reopen Monday, December 27th.

How did it end up that Chick-fil-A will close for an entire weekend?

Obviously, Chick-fil-A will be closed on Christmas Day, which falls on a Saturday. Chick-fil-A will never open up on a Sunday so that ended up giving all employees two consecutive days off in a row. 

This means that all 2,600 US locations will be closed for two days consecutive days. Has this ever happened before? 

It's not just Chick-fil-A that is closing up shop for a couple of days. Many local stores in Shreveport bossier plan to close for a couple of days to give their employees time off to spend with their families.

We loved seeing so many big box stores step up this year to say that they were going to close on Thanksgiving to allow their employees to truly be able to enjoy the holidays. Since so many companies are willing to close on Thanksgiving does this mean Christmas Eve could also be a day that many restaurants and stores close?
