Several weeks ago, Shannon Maxwell reached out looking for help collecting donations for our friends, family and neighbors affected by the floods in south Louisiana. The entire Southwood High community came together and the resulting outpouring of love and donations by our community was incredible!

Once again, Shannon and the Southwood team are looking for your help! They've been contacted by the Cajun Navy looking for new and used bikes. Read what Shannon sent below:

Hey Bristol! Shannon from Southwood here again with another plea! We were contacted Sunday by the Louisiana Cajun Navy asking for donations once again. This time they are in desperate need of new and used bikes for transportation purposes by those affected by the floods. They are still struggling so much down there and are no where near being settled, that we can't just say no! We have to help our fellow neighbors and at Southwood, we like to RISE UP and help where we are needed. If you could just help us get the word out that we will be taking donations all week at the school, or if some need to be picked up, if they could contact Brandy Walsworth or I, we will happily come get them. Thank you so much in advance for your help! The Shreveport/Bossier area was so good to us the last time in giving, we are hoping they will help once again!

If you'd like more information contact Southwood cheer coach Brandy Walsworth by calling (318) 780-1096 or Shannon Maxwell at (318) 401-0361.
