I can tell you now my life is complete. I have seen THE Sweet Potato Queen, Jill Conner Browne. She was here this week to speak to the Commission for Women of Bossier City.

There are 5,400 chapters of Sweet Potato Queens in more than 20 countries in the world.  Browne says "you must learn how to play." And she says we all have a talent or a gift we can give to the world.  She says her talent is to "smile and wave and I can do it with either hand."

Browne has written several best selling books that will make you roll. One of them is The Sweet Potato Queens' Guide to Raising Children for Fun and Profit. It's a very humorous way of looking at parenting. She says laughing at yourself is part of the fun and she never goes through a whole day without laughing.

She had the packed house of mostly women at the Bossier Civic Center laughing out loud for this week's big event.
