T-Pain Has Regrets on New Song “Textin’ My Ex”
As he gears up for the release of his fifth studio album, OBLiViON, T-Pain shares his latest single, "Textin' My Ex," which will be featured on the upcoming project.
Teaming up with singer Tiffany Evans, the song finds Pain reflecting on the one that got away and making a decision he knows he'll regret. "Probably shouldn't call you/But you know I'm 'bout to call you/And I don't even need to fall through/But I'm a man, baby, ain't that what we all do?/Understand what you tweetin' now/Hoping I'm the man, that you speaking 'bout/But you didn't at me/Hope my new girl don't catch me," he sings.
"Textin' My Ex" is just the latest OBLiViON single following the releases of "Goal Line" featuring Blac Youngsta and "F.B.G.M." with Young M.A. The album is set to release on Nov. 17.
XXL caught up with the Florida singer in August, who revealed the upcoming project would be his last release on RCA Records. "[OBLiViON] was supposed to be a collab mixtape between [producer Dre Moon] and I but then once some of the songs started getting to the label, the label was like, 'Oh, this is a fucking album!'" he said. "And this would be my last album on the label. So, for them to accept this I’m like, Oh, alright I’m free after this."
