R&B mogul R. Kelly has 99 problems, and now Aaliyah is one. Thursday Kells was hit with new charges for having a fake ID made to marry the star when she was 15.
Since the announcement that a posthumous Aaliyah album was in the works, the project has been mired in controversy. Recently, the late songbird’s label, Blackground Records, went on Twitter and posted the cover art of the album, which has everyone in a tizzy.
After impersonating Lil Wayne and flipping the bird to his ex, Drake also talked about his appreciation for Aaliyah with London radio personality Tim Westwood. It’s no secret that Drizzy admires the late songbird who passed away at the age of 22. So much so that he has a tattoo of Aaliyah’s face on his back.
Aaliyah may be gone, but she certainly has not been forgotten. It’s been 11 years since her untimely death, but now there’s news that a posthumous album is in the works featuring unreleased material from the late songbird.
