While you wait (very patiently, right?) for tonight’s premiere of the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Lucasfilm has revealed a new poster to tide you over — okay, it’s probably not going to make you any less anxious to peep that new trailer, but it’s something. Like the previous posters, this one is all about red, capitalizing on what was easily the coolest shot in the first trailer.

While Disney might be holding back some of its best stuff for Comic-Con this year, that doesn’t mean there weren’t a few Star Wars: The Last Jedi teasers that they could share at this past weekend’s D23. Just yesterday, we were treated to a new featurette that went behind the scenes of the production; right on the heels of that comes these new character posters, a beautiful new mix of familiar faces and bright colors. It’s not exactly the brand new trailer that some were hoping for, but it should keep us occupied until the next opportunity presents itself.

HBO’s Girls may be saying goodbye next Sunday, but don’t expect everyone to attend the farewell. Half the title Girls apparently won’t take part in the sixth season (and series) finale, as this past week’s “Goodbye Tour” lives up to the name.

After six years, Hannah Horvath might finally be the voice of someone’s generation. That’s the understatement of Girls’ first series finale trailer, as the sixth year for Hannah, Jessa, Marnie, Shoshanna, Adam and Elijah comes to an end next week.

Over the years, the Star Wars movies have gradually matured. We saw a shift from the original trilogy in how Darth Vader was personified — first a faceless villain, then a tragic former father — and then the prequels took us back to see the bad guy’s fall from grace. With this new trilogy, we’re given a new masked villain with a red lightsaber at the head of an evil organization, but Kylo Ren seems like the least bad of all the Star Wars villains, or, at least the one for whom you most want a redemption arc. There’s a reason for that.

Paramount hasn't been historically known for their baller moves, but when it comes to their bold anti-promotional campaign for Martin Scorsese's Silence, game must recognize game. Keeping a major awards horse almost entirely on the down-low until one month before its December 23 release is one thing; when that movie also happens to be a passion project decades in the making from what very well might be our greatest living filmmaker — American or otherwise — well, that's just showing off. A Martin Scorsese movie sells itself, and Paramount has now reminded the moviegoing public of why that is.

HBO’s Girls may come to an end in the next few years, but Hannah and co. have so much left to learn. So, so much. We’re not far ahead either, as the new trailer and poster reveal guest stars from Aidy Bryant to Corey Stoll, and all the Hannah you’ve come to expect.
