Cynthia Keith says, "The park has been closed since late February: "(The flooding) left a layer of muddy silt. It's taken this long for everything to get dried up."
The KAN Contracting has been selected to complete the project. They were chosen from a list of six contractors who submitted bids before last Thursday's deadline
Bids all came in too high for the Shreveport dog park. One of the problems is the high price of the fence the city is requiring for the 5 acre park. Cynthia Keith with the Shreveport Dog Park Alliance tells KEEL News why the city wants a 6 foot fence.
