The Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) successfully confiscated additional illegal firearms

At approximately 11:00 a.m. on August 2nd, the Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Abatement Team, in partnership with Caddo Parish Juvenile Services probation officers, executed a search warrant at 600 Harrison Street.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Through further investigation, Means was determined to be a convicted felon from prior arrests for burglary and narcotics.

The officer conducted a stop on a vehicle at Jewella Avenue and Oakcrest Street for traffic violations.

A Bossier City man with past felony convictions has been found guilty in Caddo District Court of attempting to unlawfully possess a firearm.
