The networks won't be announcing their fall lineups until next week, but Fox has already given the much buzzed-about pilot "Gotham" a series order. The show stars Ben McKenzie ("The O.C.", "Southland") as a younger Commissioner Gordon battling a wave of up-and-coming bad guys in Gotham City.

E! News announced that former "O.C." star Ben McKenzie has landed the role of Detective James Gordon in Fox's upcoming series "Gotham", scheduled to premiere this fall.
