It’s no secret that Pixels began its life as a short film, a special effects demo that showed off some inventive and amusing imagery that wasn’t required to have things like, you know, a plot or characters. So the feature version of Pixels had to find an excuse for classic arcade characters to invade Earth and that excuse was aliens. Who look like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong for some reason. And whose greatest opponent is Adam Sandler. Okay. The new trailer isn’t going to change your mind if that premise still sounds like nails on a chalkboard.

'Paul Blart: Mall Cop' was a successful film -- so wildly and bafflingly successful, in fact, that its sequel, 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,' now has an official release date. Grab your calendars and a marker and quietly cry as you circle the day where you will be reminded of our failures as a human race.

In a world where 'Grown Ups 2,' 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2' and 'Dumb and Dumber Too' are commonplace, it shouldn't surprise us that 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2' could actually happen -- but it does, and it will! Director Andy Fickman is currently in talks to helm the sequel for Sony Pictures. (Insert face palm.)

Adam Sandler, David Spade, Chris Rock and Kevin James return in "Grown Ups 2", set to hit theaters July 12, 2013. This time around, the boys move back to their hometown just in time for the last day of school and deal with teenagers and a peeing deer. (Don't ask, it's a Sandler movie.) Check out the trailer.

So there's two movies out today. One about horrible bosses who need to die!!!! (dark comedy) The other is about talking zoo animals who want to hook up Kevin James with some hot women folks. ... hmmm ... I need to spend more time in the zoo...
