The Minden, LA based women's group, the Krewe of Akewa, celebrated 10 years of Mardi Gras Friday, February 14th at the Clarion Hotel in Shreveport with style and grace.

The event was held at Pine Hills Country Club in Minden and the theme was Gold Rush which had all of the area Mardi Gras krewes decked out in their finest Western formal wear to honor the new royalty...
The costumes at the Krewe of Akewa Grand Bal this past Friday night were fantastic! The ladies truly made their Cajun Fairytales come true during their fete at the Centaur Den. Big congrats to Captain Penny and the rest of the ladies!

The Krewe of Akewa Grand Bal was Friday night and Keith and I had a blast! They held it Friday night at Harrah's Louisiana Downs with entertainment by Soul Circus. The ladies put on a show with the theme Hollywood South!
