Oh baby, it's finally here. Mudbug Madness has arrived and we packed everything you need to know about this one-of-a-kind weekend in a short video.

Traditionally in the U.S., Memorial Day is the official beginning of summer.  But in the SBC summer starts on Thursday when Mudbug Madness kicks off at Festival Plaza in Shreveport. What started as a small event attended by about 200 people, has grown into one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast according to the Southeast Tourism Society...

The smell of freshly boiled crawfish will permeate all of downtown when The 33rd Annual Mudbug Madness Festival - Presented by Centerpoint Energy - opens Thursday, May 26.

Mudbug Madness is right around the corner. During a typical festival run, thousands of pounds of crawfish are cooked up for our enjoyment. But what life lesson can we learn from them?

Mudbug Madness and crawfish are a tradition in the SBC. We're bringing you something a little new to mix in this year, New Hollow.

Shreveport's Mudbug Madness festival kicks off tomorrow (May 23) at Festival Plaza. Mudbug Madness Chairperson Teri Matthews stopped in to chat about what to expect at the festival's 30th anniversary. Somehow, we started talking crawfish mating calls. Matthews' friend volunteered to give us her version, then we went around the office with a simple request: show us your best crawfish mating call. H

We know it can be stressful when you go to an event and discover at the last minute that you can't bring in an ice chest, pet or other things. So, we put this list of rules and regulations together to help make your visit to Mudbug Madness be best ever.

With the 30th Annual Mudbug Madness festival fast approaching, I thought I'd take the opportunity to share a few crawfish fails. It's not hard, you pinch the tail and suck the head. Easy right?
