Things are looking good in Louisiana these days COVID-wise, especially when it comes to our nursing homes.

Health experts say that while this is a long-awaited turn of events and most can't wait to see their loved ones again - we should still exercise caution.

Nursing homes located in parishes with no more than 10% test positivity & without any new onset of COVID cases in last 14 days can now allow indoor visitation.

The AARP indicates the state is not doing a good enough job with the basic COVID-19 precautions needed to stem the loss of life and protect residents and staff in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Please remember to love and appreciate our staff and nurses who are working around the clock to keep the elderly folks in our community healthy and in high spirits.

The Louisiana Nursing Home Association has taken a strong position in its efforts to prevent the coronavirus from entering nursing homes in the state. They are asking family and friends to not visit residents until further notice.
