K945's Practice Safe Text with Metro PCS and KMSS Fox 33 is back Saturday, September 8th and this year it's at the Villaggio in Bossier City. We have all kinds of crazy stuff planned for you, but the basic message is this... Don't text and drive.

WOW! To some, a radio station event is something you go to and enjoy for a few hours. Those behind the scenes know it takes months of planning and we have some people that deserve to be recognized! Jay from the night show is heading out to local schools to hand out fliers for tomorrow night's event. Bristol, Kayla and Gabe are loading up the vans with banners, t-shirts and giveaways. Last year, K945 gave you the first ever Practice Safe Text event with Hot Chelle Rae at Fairgrounds Field with Metro PCS and the Shreveport/Bossier Captains. It was a cool night with over 2,200 in attendance... and an unexpected opening act for HCR...

We got to know Hot Chelle Rae at Practice Safe Text last August and fell in love with the guys! They were totally into what we were trying to do and wanted to help keep our listeners safe, too! (BTW, K945 won the Promotion of the Year Award from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters for their efforts!!!) When we did Practice Safe Text, Hot Chelle Rae were new on the scene with their song Bleed
