The animated family film "Despicable Me 2" scored a cool $82 million over the Fourth of July weekend, easily topping last weekend's box office.
The animated family film "Monsters University" stayed at No. 1 in this week's box office with an estimated $46 million while "The Heat", starring Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock debuted in second place with $40 million.
Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy team up in "The Heat", where Bullock plays an FBI agent who's forced to pair up with a local cop (played by McCarthy) to crack a major case. "The Heat" is directed by Paul Feig, who worked with McCarthy in "Bridesmaids", and comes out April 5. Check out the trailer!
