My family and I used to have a little bitty Christmas Tree, and we loved it!  It was scrawny, tiny, sparse, and beautiful!  We made a lot of great memories around that tree.  The box it came in said artificial, but it was real to me!

Sadly, we lost some vital components in the move to Bossier City back in August of this year.  But, no problems - only opportunities, right?  My 8 year old son, Deacon, threw his 2 cents in with a vote for a white tree.  To my surprise, Tracy (my wife, age unavailable) voted white too!  I am a traditional green kind of guy, but this is 2016 and a two thirds vote usually wins the day.  There are some bylaws concerning Fatherly veto power, but it usually gets filibustered by Tracy.  So, white tree it is!

With the white tree up, it was time to break out the ornaments!

We learned a lot between putting up the ornaments and checking a few lights (the true test of Christmas sanity).

What I learned is this:  The tree should not be judged by it's color, but rather by the content of it's ornaments.  I think there is a larger lesson here.  We had a great time, and I can tell that we will be making many more great memories around this new addition to the family.  I got to break out this one, too!

My problem is now that I need a SBC centered ornament!  What would be the equivalent of an I heart NY ornament here?  I do, however, have weenie dog ornaments. So, I got that going for me.
