My Friends Derek and Lauren Always Show Me the Coolest Places to Eat in Shreveport.

From showing me the magic of Griff's Burgers to the wonders of Earnest's they never steer me wrong. Today, their lunch selection was Fertitta's Delicatessen. I have to be honest, I didn't know that this place was still operating daily, how have I not been here?

At First, I Thought I Was in a Time Warp.

"Did I just travel back in time?" was my first thought when I stepped foot inside the deli. I have heard about the famous Muffy and it was cool to hear that we have such an epic place still operating today. Did you know that Shreveport's oldest family-owned restaurant is still serving up delicious sandwiches? Fertitta's Delicatessen opened in 1927 and has been in the same family for over three generations.

If you go to Fertitta's Delicatessen's Facebook page you will see that they take pride in their sandwiches and olive mix "The World Famous Muffy® Sandwich, and Papa Fertitta's Olive Mix can only be found here" says their about me. One thing that they need to start bragging about is the brand-new sandwich that keeps selling out.
