This golf course is relatively undiscovered, but I promise, it's the most fun to play in the area.

Back in the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, I absolutely fell in love with a relatively unknown golf course to Shreveport golfers... The Challenge at Cypress Hills.

When our state-wide restrictions were handed down a year ago, like many of you, I wondered where in the world could I golf at. Even though I'm an absolutely terrible golfer, I enjoy the game. To be completely honest with you, I enjoy the calmness of the game. I enjoy a stroll n freshly-cut grass on a Sunday morning, with the illusions that just maybe I would hit a golf ball good today.

Spoiler alert: I never hit the golf ball well.

However, there's something special, to me, about the unknown, and every day before a round of golf, it's the unknown. To me, anyway.

Back when our local courses were closed, I desperately wondered west-bound in search of a golf solution... What I found was The Challenge at Cypress Hills in Waskom, Tx. Now, I want to point out that it's not very far at all... Only about 15 minutes away from our studios here on Pines road in Shreveport.

This course is not a professional level, please do not think I'm saying that. What I am saying, however, is that it's an unbelievably fun course to play. So fun in fact, that I would rank it on the fun-factor higher than most courses in Shreveport-Bossier.

The bottom line is, if you're not golfing at The Challenge, you are missing out. I'm there pretty often these days, and chances are, if you come out, you'll run into me... Or one of my wildly inaccurate tee-balls.
