This Week’s #SupportLocal Recipient is Boys II Young Men
Every Monday the Morning Madhouse spotlights a local group, person, or an organization that does amazing things in our community. This week we are talking about Boys II Young Men.
Boys II Young Men, founded in 2014, is an organization that "molds the minds of our boys today to build great men tomorrow," as stated on their website. They target young males between the ages of 8 to 12 by providing positive role models, advice, support, and expectations that will shape them into goal oriented, independent men in the future.
They have done some amazing things in our community. They planted flowers at the Louisiana Fair Grounds, helped Roy's Kids give toys and presents to families in our area for Christmas, participated in the 2018 Women's March to teach kids the importance of civic involvement and community engagement, and they have feed the homeless in Shreveport.
There are multiple ways to get involved with this organization.
- Become a mentor.
- Volunteer for one of the many community service projects that they do.
- Contribute to a scholarship fund.
If you want to find more information about the organization check out there website here or follow them on Facebook.
