Though the chances are slim, we might not be done with this nasty weather yet.

The storms that slammed the area from yesterday afternoon through the early hours of this morning brought heavy rain and high winds that downed a number of trees and power lines.

Due to those effects, nearly eight thousand SWEPCO customers are without electricity this morning.

According to the SWEPCO Outage Map below, it appears that the area with the most outages is in South Shreveport and Bossier City with some outages showing near Haughton and in the Stonewall area.

SWEPCO crews are out now all over the area attempting to address these issues, but as with all instances like this, warn the public to stay completely clear of downed power lines.

You can keep up with SWEPCO's progress through their outage map which is updated every fifteen minutes.  Access that by going HERE.

Should you find yourself without power, you can report that to SWEPCO HERE.
