Severe weather moved through the Ark-La-Tex on Tuesday morning. The storm featured hail, high winds, driving rain and several confirmed tornadoes. According to the Weather Channel, more than 200,000 customers were without power in Texas and nearly 30,000 residents in Louisiana.

Thankfully, at least as of right now, there doesn't seem to be any reports of death or severe damage in Shreveport or Caddo Parish.

Tornadoes Confirmed in Caddo Parish

According to the National Weather Service, there were two confirmed tornadoes in Caddo Parish as part of Tuesday's severe storms. According to them, both twisters were EF-1 tornadoes.

The first happened along Blanchard Furrh Road. The second happened in the North Highlands area. Both tornadoes topped out with winds estimated to be around 93 mph.

At this time, no tornadoes have been confirmed in Bossier Parish despite early reports to the contrary. However, additional damage studies will be conducted by the NWS over the next few days to confirm that.

While no "severe" damage or injuries are being reported, there are reports that dozens of homes were damaged due to the high winds and falling trees/limbs.

As mentioned at the top of this story, at the storm's peak, 30,000 residents were without power in the area. As of today, nearly 16,000 residents are still without power.

According to SWEPCO, there are currently 15,800 residents without power in Caddo, Bossier and the surrounding areas. From to reports, power is expected to be returned by 10 pm tonight for most area residents.
