Two Arrested After Shooting Up Shreveport Residence
Two men have been taken in to custody in connection with firing numerous gunshots at a residence. On March 15, 2021, just before 10:00 p.m., Shreveport Police responded to Sugarleaf Trail to investigate a shots fired call. Officers located a residence that had been struck numerous times by gunfire. People were home at the residence, however, no one at the residence was hit. Not long afterwards, Shreveport Police received a second report of a shooting just a block away, involving two adult male victims who were brought to Shreveport Fire Station #9 on Vincent. Both males were taken to Ochsner LSU Health. One of their injuries was considered non-life-threatening and the other was considered possibly life-threatening.
Investigators responded to both locations. Witnesses were grilled and the crime scene was carefully processed. Investigators have been able to determine that the two victims, 23 year-old Toronco Loston and 19 year-old Jaylen Pierre drove to Sugarleaf Trail and fired multiple shots at a residence at this location. During an exchange in gunfire, both Loston and Pierre were struck and immediately drove to Shreveport Fire Station #9 after sustaining injuries. Investigators have charged Jaylen Pierre with one count of Principal to Illegal Discharge of Weapons and one count of Principal to Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. Toronco Loston has been charged with one count of Illegal Discharge of Weapons and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. Both Loston and Pierre remain in custody at Ochsner LSU Health. Loston’s remains in stable condition and Pierre sustained a non-life-threatening injury to the lower leg. Both will be booked into the Shreveport City Jail after being discharged from the hospital. This investigation is still on-going.
