A child molester who was wanted for kidnapping and murder was nabbed by two employees of the Dollar General store in Ragley, Louisiana this week. Tiffany Cook and Sallye Salter were the alert employees on duty who recognized Neil P. Broussard, who is accused of killing two teenagers, and kidnapping another. The dynamic duo ushered all of the customers out of their store and then locked the accused fugitive in and called police.

The drama began last Wednesday in Westlake, where 18-year-old Kaleb T. Carlton and 17-year-old Kyla Hidalgo were found dead. The perpetrator also shot 40 year old Catherine Hidalgo, who survived, and said he stole her car and took her 14 year old daughter. After a massive search that involved over 75 members of law enforcement, helicopters, and dogs, the girl was spotted exiting some nearby woods. She was alone, and the shooter was still on the loose, until he ran into the two Dollar General employees the next day (Thursday).

The two crime fighters were praised by Beauregard Sheriff Mark Herford and Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso. Broussard's wife, interestingly enough, is employed as the chief investigator at the Calcasieu Public Defenders Office. According to KPLC Tori L. Broussard was also arrested as an accessory to rape and molestation. Her husband had previously been convicted of child molestation in 2005 and 2011, and was headed to trial on sex charges in Texas. Broussard was also wanted on first-degree rape and molestation of a juvenile charges in Calcasieu Parish.
