Tyler, Texas’ Delicious Greenberg Smoked Turkey is Back for 2021

Last year, on top of everything else we were dealing with in 2020, an explosion and devastating fire at Tyler, Texas' world famous Greenberg Turkeys denied tens of thousands of families across the country the delicious centerpiece for their Thanksgiving meal. Thankfully, the smoked-turkey masters at Greenberg are giving us another thing to be thankful for on November 25th.
Greenberg Turkeys had to rebuild from a devastating loss in 2020
Last year on Nov. 6th, a huge explosion and fire ended the Thanksgiving dreams of approximately 87,000 hungry families when it completely destroyed a cooler holding turkeys Greenberg employees were preparing to ship out. Not only did the accident put a stop on the aforementioned orders - it completely stopped the business from completing any immediate orders in the weeks before last year's Thanksgiving, AKA their busiest time of the year. The company would put the pieces back together, but not in time for the 2020 holiday season.
The grand return of the Greenberg Smoked Turkey is upon us
Now that we are (fingers crossed) finally emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic and will most likely be able to gather together as a family again - it's time to count our blessings. Among the impressive list we will give thanks for is the fact that Greenberg Turkeys has (literally) risen from the ashes and announced that it's turkey time for the 82-year old company once again. According to NBCDFW, the company is ready to fill orders for this Thanksgiving.
The president of Greenberg is worried their customers have already moved on
President Sam Greenberg says that orders are already rolling in, but he's concerned that not all of their customers will come back. While it may take a couple of years to build those numbers back up, I think he's wrong. With the company building back stronger than ever and a delicious product with an incredible reputation for pleasing the holiday dinner table crowd, it's only a matter of time before Greenberg is tops in turkey once again.
