[UPDATE 2:38 p.m.] Robin Alexander Lyons, the 21-year-old Shreveport woman who drove her car off the top level of the Boomtown casino parking lot, has passed away.

[UPDATE 12:15 p.m.] Shreveport native Robin Alexander Lyons is in critical condition at LSU Health Center after driving off the top level of  Boomtown Casino's parking garage.

Lyons, 21, was removed from her vehicle with the jaws of life by the Bossier City Fire Department.

[Original story] One woman is in critical condition this morning after she drove off the top level of the parking garage at the Boomtown Casino parking garage. The accident happened at shortly before 4 this morning.

Bossier Police spokesman Mark Natale says "there is nothing to indicate this is a case of hitting the gas instead of the brake."

The Shreveport woman is believed to be in her early 20's drove through several metal cables at the edge of the garage. Natale says "officers do suspect alcohol was likely a factor in the crash, but the investigation is ongoing."

The car fell about 60 feet and landed upside down. The woman's name has not been released yet.
