The debate is finally over? The debate in question is between Texas favorite Whataburger and California's In-N-Out Burger according to mysanantonio.com. USA Today decided to tackle this burger conundrum with the newspaper's "USA Today 10 Best" survey. Using "local experts", they compiled a list of the Top 10 regional burger joints.

The survey by the various writers tried the different regional favorites. Overall, Texas favorite Whataburger finished third among the chains. That is two spots better than In-N-Out Burger, which placed fifth. The full list is below:

  1. Habit Burger - California
  2. Pal's Sudden Service - Tennessee
  3. Whataburger - Texas
  4. Sheetz - Pennsylvania
  5. In-N-Out Burger - California
  6. Quaker Steak & Lube - Pennsylvania
  7. Cook Out - North Carolina
  8. Krystal - Georgia
  9. Culver's - Wisconsin
  10. Biscuitville - North Carolina

Again, these are regional chains, which is probably why you don't recognize most of them.

There we have it, at least for the time being, there is proof that Whataburger is, in fact, better than In-N-Out Burger. Take that California.
