1. Old World Christmas Lights Spectacular in Minden
Minden may be a small town, but their German influence makes them bust out the 6-foot nutcrackers every year. Around Christmas, downtown Minden shows off their beautiful twinkling lights, and yes, nutcrackers of every shape and size. You have to see it to believe it.
2. Natchitoches Christmas Festival of Lights
Ever since I watched "Steel Magnolias" I have wanted to visit Natchitoches. Natchitoches boasts one of the largest Christmas displays in the Ark-La-Tex. Over 300,000 lights light up the town and countless set pieces are on display for all to see and take photos with. The display opens up November 23rd runs until January 6th.
3. Christmas in Roseland at American Rose Center in Greenwood
Every year I look forward to visiting the American Rose Center around Christmas. Many schools submit their "Christmas Cards" basically a big plywood sheet and get to decorating. You can enjoy children's creativity along with a spectacular show of Christmas lights and a train ride. It's a 60-acre park full of Christmas spirit, you're going to love this wonderful gem on the outskirts of Shreveport. From Thanksgiving until the weekend before Christmas, you can get your tickets by clicking here.
4. Christmas on the River in Downtown Monroe & West Monroe
Monroe isn't just for "Duck Dynasty" lovers. Around Christmas time there are festive light displays on Antique Alley and there is even Santa’s Christmas Village in the Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum. There are even fireworks shows. Talk about a popping party.
