Volunteers Needed to Drive Veterans to Shreveport VA Med Center
There are a lot of ways to give back, but few offer you the opportunity to help someone who has helped you. That's why I love organizations that help our veterans. The proud men and women that have served in the U.S. Armed Forces already did their part to secure and protect our freedom, so I feel it is incumbent for the rest of America to do theirs.
Right now, a perfect opportunity exists to help in a most extraordinary and completely necessary way. The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is in need of 15 volunteers to drive our nation's finest from Texarkana to their medical appointments at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport.
If you would like to help haul this precious cargo, and likely hear some of the most fantastic first-hand accounts off some of the biggest moments in modern history, it's an easy process. According to KTBS, all you need to qualify as a DAV driver is a valid drivers license and the ability to pass a physical and background check. Pick up your application at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Texarkana, Arkansas.
