What’s New For The SBC In 2017

A lot of promises were made in 2016.  "We'll build this, and improve that" they said.  Well, 2017 is the year of delivering on those promises.  This is the year we get all that's coming to us, and it's going to be awesome!

2017 is the year we get:

The Shreveport Dog Park

The dog-gone construction at Stoner Park along the Red River is chugging right along, and it's expected to be finished by March.

Downtown Bossier Re-Vitalization

The city has spent millions of dollars on the section of Barksdale Boulevard that will be know as "Downtown."  Bike paths, music venues, new businesses, and that cool downtown feel - we get it all in June of this year when the project is scheduled to be completed.

Shreveport Aquarium

Planned for completion in Summer of this year, the aquarium in downtown Shreveport promises to be a world of wonder!  The 4.3 million dollar facility will bring more than forty five jobs to the area, and lots more fishes. How many?  How about 3,000 animals representing more than 270 different species including sharks, rays, octopus, crabs, jellyfish?  The aquarium will be located in the long vacant Barnwell Center on Shreveport's downtown riverfront.
